The false Belief that Animals are suffering from unsatisfied Sexual Needs
|
Most people who keep and use animals as pets, child-objects or leisure-time partners and castrate them, probably actually do like animals. They just don't respect them, their true nature, their needs, and thus their dignity and their rights as they should. The problems leading to castration are, other than making a potentially dangerous male animal more timid and safe to handle for humans, much like it is also done by the pulling of a lion's or tiger's teeth and claws, obviously mostly the animal's sexuality and its unsatisfied needs in connection with its sexuality and gender.
I have believed for a long time that people who castrate animals under the pretext that the animal supposedly is suffering from unsatisfied sexual needs are either women who castrate male animals because they do not understand male sexuality and male sexual needs, because they don't have testicles themselves and thus simply don't know that being horny is not just a "suffering" for male beings as it looks like to unknowing (female) onlookers, but also something nice that feels very good and even great to male beings, or men who simply lie about this fact or just ignore it out of lacking empathy for the animal. And since most people who own pets and thus castrate male animals to satisfy their own needs are women, I have been more than just a little critical with women for a long time and sometimes still am.
However, I recently met a man who owned a little male dog which he had castrated just recently and I spoke to the man about it. He was very honest and straightforward and had no reason to lie. He told me, that he had castrated his little dog because his dog supposedly was suffering greatly from his hornyness and his male hormones. He thought that his little dog was actually experiencing physical pain because of his great horniness and he told me that the dog was so horny that his eyes used to bulge out and that all he wanted was to have sex all the time. Also he supposedly always sought to fight other male dogs instead of submitting himself and now, after castration he was much more "leveled out" and submissive to other male dogs.
These statements, coming from a man, certainly gave me food for thought. Of course the dog was more submissive to other male dogs after castration and, because of the missing natural hormones in his blood which give male beings the courage and the strength to fight instead of just submitting themselves, just submitted himself instead of standing his ground.
This man had truly believed that his dog was suffering so much from his hornyness, that he would be happier and better off when castrated. Obviously this man had never been so horny himself or he would have also castrated himself or wanted to be castrated which he didn't. So perhaps the only thing which people who castrate animals because they think the animal is suffering from its unsatisfied needs in connection with its sexuality or gender really need and lack, is own experience what it is like to have such needs. Obviously women can never know what it's like to have masses of testosterone and a male brain reacting accordingly to it, what it is like to be a really horny male being. But it seems many or at least some men also don't know and cannot imagine what it is like to be really horny like that little dog supposedly was for instance and not to be able to get any sexual satisfaction or release.
That's the only explanation why even some animal loving men, those who promote castration, think that being horny would be just "suffering" and not also pleasurable at the same time. For this lacking knowledge even in men there are in my view only two explanations. 1: Either they simply do not have similar levels of testosterone, never had them, not even in their youth, perhaps because they have small or unproductive testicles, and can never get so horny, or 2: They actually could get that horny, but because they have human hands, they can, do and always did sexually relieve themselves with masturbation before ever getting so horny.
So for people who castrate their "loved" animal, it's not always only lacking empathy for animals which leads them to castrate their animal, but also guilt and a bad conscience coupled with lacking knowledge and ignorance about sexual needs and their qualities. And surprisingly to me, it's not only women who are ignorant or lack this knowledge about sexual needs such as male hornyness, even if naturally they are in the vast majority, but also some men! Due to their lacking knowledge and missing own experiences, some people think the animal is suffering from its hornyness or its needs in connection with its sexuality or gender and they think it is their fault that these obviously very strong and big needs are not satisfied, because they are using the animal while not being able to protect the animal from supposed sexual "suffering".
People who castrate their animals, despite claiming to love them, truly want to provide for and satisfy every need of their animal, only in a much too perfect, total and ignorant and unknowing manner about sexuality. Even in the wild sexuality very rarely is satisfied in a total, complete and unconditional manner the way people often imagine it ought to be satisfied. Because unknowing people falsely think that sexual needs, when not satisfied through sex and orgasm or reproduction mean suffering for the animal and are not pleasurable in and by themselves, and because they feel responsible for their animal, they want to relive their animal of this falsely imagined and supposedly perceived suffering. They cannot stand to see unsatisfied needs, which is understandable if such needs are associated only with suffering and not also with pleasurable feelings such as being horny is, even when not getting sexually satisfied, and so to remove all supposed suffering, they wrongly castrate the animal. They don't realize that the animal might actually enjoy its condition of hornyness, not matter how horny it is, even when not sexually satisfied and even if it might not seem like a pleasurable condition to onlookers who have never had the luck and pleasure of being so horny themselves.
