December 17'th, 2006:
Donation and Payment Information was made easier to access and the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) about Us were updated with that information. Content Management was updated.

December 12'th, 2006:
Mark Schmid has written a 12-page paper about the keeping of stallions in a group. Some things have never been published before and exceed the knowledge even of most ethologists and veterinarians. Only recommended for the serious horse-enthusiast or professionals: Stallion Group-Keeping

December 8'th, 2006:
Mark Schmid spoke with Monty Roberts about stallions and about castration and wrote the conversation down in this article: When "Horse Whisperers" promote Violence
Including traveling costst and ticket price, Mark Schmid spend about 150.- Swiss Francs out of his private pocket to produce this article. You can comfortably read it here from your warm living room for just a couple of cents.
What's shocking about the conversation is that Monty Roberts, the world-famous "horse whisperer" confessed to being the biggest promoter of sexually mutilationg horses by castration, one of the severest forms of violence and force which exist. This lead us to write a
Letter of Protest to Monty Roberts. We ask everyone who cares about the dignity of the horse, one of the most used animals by mankind, to copy the letter or write an own letter and send it to Monty Roberts.
The
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) about Us were updated with the question why not all articles are for free and a list of some that are.

November 25'th, 2006:
The Terms Of Use were changed. The new court of jurisdiction is in Aarau, Switzerland. Link pages were added to General Topics , Horses and to the Stallion Page.

October 24'th, 2006:
For those who like it short and brief, Short Texts on Castration was added.
The new article,
The Irresponsibility of Castration, of allowing it and its Consequences was added. Until further notice this article is being sponsored by the author, Mark Schmid out of his own private pocket so you can read it here for free. Please support the Organization for Animal Dignity with a donation so we can continue publishing important fundamental work in the area of animal protection and to the benefit of the animal!
A much needed
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) about Us was added.
What makes the Organization for Animal Dignity better than other "Animal Protection" Organizations was updated.

October 2'nd, 2006:
The article Disgrace in Equestrian Sports was added to the Horses Section. A foto of Mark Schmid was added to the Imprint.

September 8'th, 2006:
A philosophical text from Mark Schmid was added: Philosophy of Castrating

September 5'th, 2006:
An Introduction to the Organization for Animal Dignity was added.

August 30'th, 2006:
The Swiss government decided to revise the Animal Protection Decree. Since the draft of the new Animal Protection Decree has serious flaws, we have recorded them and sent them to the Federal Veterinary Office as part of the running discussion stage: Statement of the Organization for Animal Dignity to the Complete Revision of the Swiss Animal Protection Decree 2006

August 17'th, 2006:
Before the work on the forums could be started, content management was more fully developed, the internal donation system was completed and a lot of bugs were fixed. The logo banner was also changed.

July 23'rd, 2006:
The very current and important article "Scandal and Corruption uncovered in Animal Protection Organizations" was added to the new general topic "Animal Protection" because it is very explosive. A lot of bugs were corrected. The logo banner was changed. Next, programming the forums will be started and when that is finished, which should be the case in about 2-3 months, the best contents of our former project, www.Hengstseite.ch (StallionPage) will be translated and included.

July 12'th, 2006:
Finally! After over 3 months of programming and development the first basic version of our webpage is finished and went online today.
Although a lot of work has been done, it certainly does not look like much yet and there still is much more missing than is finished. There is hardly any content yet, there are no discussion forums yet, a lot of administration stuff is still missing and none of the contents of our former project, the Stallionpage, could be included yet. That's a lot more programming, webpublishing, writing and translation work to do, at least 6-12 months worth and it will have to be taken little step by little step at a time. But for now here is the first hopefully working basic release of our project webpage, version 1.0 so to say, for those who don't want wait. Everything else will come in little steps.

July 3'rd, 2006:
Although the first, most basic version of our webpage is being worked on hard every day, its release must be postponed for about 1-2 weeks.

June 4'th, 2006:
Mark Schmid did it again! In his eagerness to help animals and to change the deplorable state of affairs in the area of animal protection, he started publishing content and information on his or our own cost again and before the system to distribute costs among readers was finished. Since this only leads to people consuming our hard work and us having to pay for it ourselves, that's a direct highway to kill this website and this organization because we do not have the finances to pay for our services ourselves over an extended period of time, we are not supported by any institutions and we do not receive any donations. Until it becomes possible for readers to pay for our educational work with a micro payment system, unfortunately all content must remain offline. To protect the future of this organization, the General Topics section had to be removed and will stay offline until the micro payment system is up and running and the costs for this project can be distributed amongst its readers. This should happen in the next 2-4 weeks. Sometimes tough financial decisions must be made to allow idealism.

June 3'rd, 2006:
Mutilation is one of the worst crimes against the dignity of any living being. That's why it's one of the most important General Topics for the Organization for Animal Dignity. Today that topic was started with an article from Mark Schmid: Animal Mutilations relevant for the Dignity of Animals

May 24'th, 2006:
We have been very positively surprised and also strongly influenced by the progress which the enlightenment in the field of sexuality and disability has made in Switzerland in the last few months. While our webpage is still not finished and our system to distribute costs among readers is still in development, there are some things, which, once you have learned and understood them, you must make available to the public, least you become implicated to the crimes you oppose yourself. In that manner a first subject area was created in General Topics on short notice for a first subject area Sexuality of Animals.
An
Imprint and a simple navigation was added to the webpage.
Two days ago the Swiss Federal Commission for Ethics decided to outlaw animal experiments on big apes because they are so much like human beings. The Commission also criticized an already executed animal experiment on other primates which immediately caused scientists of ETHZ who have an interest in unethical animal experiments to criticize the Ethics Commission of being unobjective. What a coincidence...
So far the Swiss Federal Commission for Ethics had, in our view, something of an economic boot-licker existence and we are glad to see and congratulate the Commission to its awakening from that existence and to having made a beginning of taking its lawful job of enforcing ethics, not laundering economic interests or ruthless science, seriously and realizing it responsibly. A good and welcome development by all means.

May 8'th, 2006:
The documentation of our Legal charges against the biggest sexual mutilator of animals in Switzerland has been updated.

April 22'nd, 2006:
Documentation of event from April 21'st was added: Legal charges against the biggest sexual mutilator of animals in Switzerland

April 20'th, 2006:
A Contact page was added.
The text "
Organization for Animal Dignity Mission Statement" was added to the main page.
The black teaser page was removed and the site received its first halfway decent temporary white and blue layout and design.

March 28'th, 2006:
A black teaser page was set up.

Beginning of 2006:
After www.Hengstseite.ch had to close down due to a lack of financing (people simply would not donate enough to keep the site online), the decision was made to expand the objective of good quality independent animal protection to all animals, to create a new animal protection organization for this purpose and to implement a payment system for the internet which would transfer the costs of hosting and domain names to the people requesting the service of this new organization. The idea for the Organization for Animal Dignity was born.
