Terms Of Use
(Version: 2006.11.02-EN)
This is an agreement between the Organization for Animal Dignity and any person, referred to as "user" in the following text, who uses, views, downloads or wishes to do so the webpage, its contents and / or any services of the Organization for Animal Dignity.
Duties of the user:
All information given or offered to the Organization for Animal Dignity by the user must be correct to his or her best knowledge at all times. Knowingly supplying false or misleading information to the Organization for Animal Dignity or not notifying the Organization for Animal Dignity about existing false information can lead to immediate deletion of a the user's account and to the denial of all services offered by the Organization for Animal Dignity without any refunds, notices or explanations.
Every user must read, understand and at all times accept the current version (2006.11.02-EN) of the Terms of Use of the Organization for Animal Dignity.
Every Member Account may be used by one single person only, the user who originally registered the account.
All users must keep their password and their User-ID secret and do everything reasonable to keep their Member Account from being used by anyone except themselves.
Registering or having more than one Member Account is not allowed and will lead to immediate deletion of all accounts of that user without any refunds.
The user confirms that he or she will not hold the Organization for Animal Dignity, its founder or its authors responsible or liable for any damages caused by its services or lack thereof.
The user confirms that he or she wants to support the Organization for Animal Dignity and will not sue, press charges against or in any other way cause damage or harm to the Organization for Animal Dignity, its founder, its authors or its users or in any other way hinder or negatively affect the Organization for Animal Dignity in pursuing its goals and objectives.
The user confirms the he or she respects and will not violate the copyrights of all contents which are held by the Organization for Animal Dignity, its founder, its authors or its users at any time.
The user agrees that he or she is not a part or member of nor acts on behalf or in favor of any institution or organization, government or otherwise, which has an interest in or has anything to do with censorship, with limiting and violating human rights such as the rights of free speech, freedom of information and freedom of the press or with collecting personal data.
Duties of the Organization for Animal Dignity:
The Organization for Animal Dignity tries its best to offer information which is as scientifically objective and as correct as possible about the interests and dignity of animals seen from the standpoint of animals themselves instead of from the standpoint of humans. It tries to offer this information as cost efficiently for the user as possible, by using all income, donations and contributions for the sole purpose of maintaining or expanding the services of the Organization for Animal Dignity in connection with its goals and objectives and not to generate any personal profit for its founder, its authors or anyone else. This does not mean though, that the founder or authors of the Organization for Animal Dignity cannot be compensated for their work or for other contributions which they have made to the Organization for Animal Dignity in any way which seems appropriate or beneficial for the goals, the objective or the survival of the Organization for Animal Dignity.
Payments, Donations and other Contributions:
All payments, donations and contributions made to the Organization for Animal Dignity, its founder or its authors are at all times considered as non-reversible and non-refundable gifts and donations, which include no right to any service in return and under no circumstances are ever paid back or returned, not even if the Member Account of the user who made the payment, donation or contribution gets cancelled or deleted and all service to that user is denied. There is never a refund for payments, donations or contributions made to the Organization for Animal Dignity, its founder or its authors.
Contributing own content:
Contributing own content of any kind such as texts, articles, images, films, etc. to the Organization for Animal Dignity automatically and without any further agreement means that the user as author of that content gives the Organization for Animal Dignity all rights to publish that content for all times and without any limitations or conditions of any kind.
Termination and Denial of all Services:
The Organization for Animal Dignity reserves the right to delete the Member Account, to terminate this agreement and to deny any user or institution all services at any time, without having to give an explanation and without having to make any refunds or returns for any payments, donations or contributions made from that user to the Organization for Animal Dignity, to its founder or to its authors.
Prices:
The Organization for Animal Dignity at all times reserves the right to offer any and all of its services and any and all of the contents of its webpage only against previously made payments. The Organization for Animal Dignity reserves the right to change the prices for any of its services or for any content of its webpage any time and without any notice or explanation. The Organization for Animal Dignity reserves the right to charge different users different prices at all times according to the financial situation specified by the user or due to other circumstances.
Validity of the Terms of Use and Court of Jurisdiction:
The Terms of Use of the Organization for Animal Dignity are valid at all times.
The Organization for Animal Dignity reserves the right to change the Terms of Use at any time unilaterally and without notice. Agreeing to the Terms of Use of the Organization for Animal Dignity means the user also silently agrees to any and all changes which are or will be made to the Terms of Use unilaterally by the Organization for Animal Dignity without being personally informed about the changes. The user confirms that if that is not the case, he or she will immediately stop using the webpage or any of the services offered by the Organization for Animal Dignity without getting any refund for payments, donations or other contributions made. The currently valid Terms of Use is published on the webpage of the Organization for Animal Dignity or available from its founder and changes are announced publicly.
Should any applicable law make any or multiple parts of this agreement invalid or unrightful, it does not mean that this entire agreement becomes invalid. In such a case all other parts of this agreement remain in place and valid. The court of jurisdiction is in Aarau, Switzerland.
